What is Festival of Trees?
The Festival of Trees at the Buttonwoods is an annual fundraiser hosted by the Buttonwoods Museum in Haverhill, MA. The fundraiser lasts two weeks from the last weekend in November until the second weekend in December. This year is the 19th anniversary and usually there are list of fun events that help put everyone in the holiday spirit. However this year due to the ongoing pandemic, we are forced to pare down and eliminate some of our usual events. Please see our Events Schedule. PLEASE NOTE: FACE MASKS ARE REQUIRED FOR EACH PERSON ENTERING THE FESTIVAL. Sanitization protocols as outline by the state and CD guidelines will be followed.
Our Festival may not be as big as other Festival of Trees in the area, but every year we have a great selection of trees, wreaths and centerpieces that are donated by generous individuals and companies that are raffled off at the end of the Festival. Many people have told us that our Festival of Trees is more enjoyable and not as overwhelming or “cold” like the other festivals. Having our Festival in the museum helps to create a warm and inviting atmosphere that feels more like Christmas. We hope you come visit and experience it yourself!

Each of the trees, wreaths and centerpieces are raffled off at the end of the Festival on December 13, 2020. Winners will be contacted by phone and given instructions on when to pick up their winnings. Raffle tickets are sold at the entrance of the Festival for $1 each, 6 for $5, and 25 for $20. Raffle tickets may also be purchased online through our website.
We have a silent auction with some amazing items that are generously donated by individuals and companies in the area. Auction winners will be notified on December 13, 2020 and instructed on how to pick up and pay for the item they bid on. If you would like to donate an item to the silent auction, please email FOT@buttonwoods.org to arrange a day and time to drop off your item. This year, due to the pandemic, you will also be able to make bids through our Facebook page.
